Black and White Mother’s Day Card May 4, 2010

Well, with all the wedding stuff finished, I had a TON of scraps and leftovers.  And when I sat down to make some Mother’s Day cards, they were still sitting on my scrap chair.  I love this paper, so I put together this pretty card using the scraps.  The gray flocked paper is from a black and white Me and My Big Ideas stack.  (We used this for the table numbers.)  The Hampton Arts set of 8 stamps was from Michaels, on clearance for 2.99!!  I am such a sucker for acrylic stamps on clearance.  I think I bought seven sets that day!  I stamped with StazOn to get a good image and then punched them out with a circle punch.  Added some ribbon and Glossy Accents to the butterfly and had my card done in less than 10 minutes!  I love it and I think that one of my moms will too!!  Happy crafting!

Birthday invitations for my son May 6, 2009

I waited until the very last minute to start on my son’s birthday party invitations. His party is on the 17th, and I just made these last night to send out today! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! This was the first time that I have used the guitar from Indie Art and I love this paper that I cut it out of. It was part of a paper pack from Me and My Big Idea, very boyish, very punk skater. The [party time] stamp is Studio G and the “stains” are from the Coffee Stain set from CTMH. This is one of my favorite stamps!! I have used it so many times! So for something thrown together at the last minute, I was really happy with the results!! Thanks for looking! Happy crafting!

2S4U-Card Challenge August 6, 2008

Ok, another week and another great sketch from Kazan over at 2sketches4you. I have been loving the birds lately and added another one to my card this week. This stamp is from Inkadinkadoo. The paper is from my ever growing scrap stash and I can’t remember who made them. But I have used them several times for cards and stationary. Hopefully later this week, I will be able to post some layouts. I just got my ATG refills from Julie at Crop and Stick and now I can get to work!! Have a great day!!

2 sketches 4 you card August 1, 2008

After a couple of weeks of skipping the sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You, I decided to head back over there and check out this weeks’ sketch. I found some scraps in bright colors for this card. I made a couple of variations with flourish stamps and stickles, but this one ended up being my favorite. I used my Glimmer Mist, (which I LOVE!!) and my Threading Water Punch. The greeting is Quickutz, and the ribbon is American Crafts, tied in a cheater knot. I like the simplicity of this card and I am sending it to a friend that I haven’t talked to in a while, so I hope she like it. I hope you like it too!! Thanks for looking.

2 Sketches 4 you weekly sketch challenge June 16, 2008

This is my take on week three’s sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You. If you haven’t checked them out yet, what are you waiting for?!!?

I used Making Memories and Paper Studio paper. The pink is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder with a void where the sentimnet is. That stamp is by Scrappy Cat, some of my new favorite acrylic stamps! The flourish is from Accent Essentials and embellished with Prima’s and skittles. The white ribbon is American Crafts and I’m not sure where the pink ribbon is from. Hope you like it!!
